Presentation Skills' Course Aims:
- To understand how to define and construct a presentation
- To know how to evaluate content and key messages
- To learn how to incorporate non-verbal communication into a presentation
- To know how to manage difficult participants
- To develop the skills to increase confidence while speaking in public
Duration: 2 days
Presentation Skills Course Content:
Day 1
- Identifying and incorporating your objectives into your presentation
- Fine-tuning speaking techniques – using correct intonation, pacing, pausing, pitching and projection
- Overcoming vocal challenges
- Body movement techniques – positioning, moving and gesturing to engage your audience
- Harnessing nervous energy to present with passion and flair - developing confidence and controlling your nerves
- Presenting your presentation to camera for review and feedback
Day 2
- Developing an individual style of presenting
- Developing presence
- How to ‘Open’ your presentation and grab attention
- How to ‘Close’ with impact
- Managing different types of audience personalities
- Managing difficult questions and interruptions
- Presenting your presentation to camera for review and feedback
- Development plan - participants create a development plan, based on their key learning points that can be implemented back in the workplace
