  • Examination of the roles and responsibilities of a team leader
  • Identifying and developing your leadership style
  • Understanding how teams form using Bruce Tuckman’s model
  • Understanding the individual working styles of team members – Belbin Team Roles
  • Delegating successfully
  • Empowering and inspiring people
  • Motivational skills - motivating yourself and motivating a team 

Day 2

  • Communication Skills
  • Enhancing Team Performance – improving the performance of weaker team members while still providing challenges for the stronger members
  • Dealing with performance issues
  • Managing conflict
  • Assertiveness skills and building confidence
  • Leading and Managing Change

Day 3

  • Managing your time more effectively
  • How to scope out work and prioritise your workload
  • Managing a meeting and conference call
  • Coaching for optimum performance
  • Developing your career and knowledge
  • Development plan – participants create a development plan of key learning points to implement in the workplace
