Day 1

  • Defining the skills you require from a potential employee
  • Understanding, identifying and creating competency based questions
  • Creating effective tracking and evaluation sheets for review after the interview
  • Interviewing processes
  • Creating rapport with the candidate
  • Listening and questioning effectively
  • Assessing a candidate’s skill levels
  • Gauging organisational fit based on your organisation’s culture, ethos and existing personnel
  • Evaluating candidates and information
  • Understanding legal requirements
  • Development plan – participants create a development plan of key learning points to implement in the workplace

Interview Skills Training Outcome

As a result of attending this training programme, participants will have the necessary skills to:

  • Create and implement a recruitment process
  • Communicate effectively with candidates
  • Assess and evaluate candidates’ skills and potential
  • Understand the Employment Acts of 1998 and 2004
