Coaching Skills' Course Aims:

  • To understand the difference between coaching and managing
  • To develop opportunities to practice a range of relevant skills
  • To identify and use key, powerful questions
  • To explore and resolve difficulties impeding goal-attainment

Duration: 2 days

Coaching Skills Course Content:


Day 1

  • Differentiating 'coaching' from 'management'
  • Identifying individual motivation strategies and tailoring individual coaching sessions
  • Knowing what types of questions to ask to make your team think of their own solutions
  • Applying the GROW coaching model in the workplace
  • Overcoming barriers to coaching to maximise a team’s performance

Day 2

  • Improving performance through advanced communication approaches
  • Assisting your team members in implementing practical and results focused, personal action plans
  • Inspiring team members to drive performance towards exemplary results
  • Removing barriers that hold the team back from achieving their goals
  • Development Plan: - participants create a development plan of key learning points to implement in the workplace
