Our Approach
SkillWorks' primary goal is to help people achieve their full potential through interactive training & development as well as supporting participants' learning through coaching.
We provide a systematic and optimal approach to the learning process. Firstly, we conduct an in-depth Training Needs Analysis (TNA) with you. Secondly, we then put forward a proposed course outline for your approval. Thirdly, we design the training course, workshop or training programme to suit your needs. We then deliver the training and evaluate its effectiveness.
We complete a Feedback Report for you which evaluates the training and which also provides a plan to determine what support is needed back in the workplace for the skills to really 'stick' with the participant. This plan will firstly suggest that you hold a meeting with the participant after they have completed the training programme or course to discuss the following:
- to define & set goals that will help them develop and use their skills e.g. deliver a presentation to their team after completing a Presentation Skills course
- to define what support they will need from you e.g. coaching and supporting them on improving their Communication Skills
- to define what resources they will need e.g. time to practice the skills or maybe training on software - Outlook Calendar for improved Time Managment skills
- to define what support they will need from their co-workers.
Our business training courses, workshops and training programmes are "hands-on" and highly interactive. Our tutors and training instructors provide a fun and fresh approach to the learning process and environment.
During our training courses, we provide participants with the opportunities to develop their skills through:
- Role Playing
- Case Studies
- Practical Instruction
- Discussion Based Exercises
- Coaching
- Continuous Assessment and Feedback
All of which are done by on-going supervision and coaching from a qualified tutor.
We are interested in adding Associate Trainers to our training panel. If you are an experienced and qualified trainer, we'd like to hear from you. Please e-mail your business profile or CV to us at laura@skillworks.ie.
